Camp Dellwood

Chalet, Mender, & Program Center

These winterized buildings are available for year-round use at Dellwood.  They have indoor wash rooms, fully equipped kitchens, gas furnaces, and electricity.  

Chalet:  Has two main activity rooms equipped with 36 mattresses, tables, benches and a fireplace.  Kitchen has a gas range, triple sink, a work table, refrigerator with freezer, and storage cabinets.  A fire bowl with grate is located nearby.  The sanitary facility has a 2 showers  and 2 modern toilets. 

Mender: Has an activity room with 12 beds, tables and benches, fireplace.  The kitchen has a gas range and oven, triple sink with hot and cold running water, refrigerator with freezer, and storage cabinets.  A fire bowl with grate is located nearby.  The sanitary facility has a shower and modern toilet. 

Program Center:  Has two troop rooms with 12 bunk beds in each area.  Also included is an activity room with tables and chairs, and a fireplace.  The kitchen has a gas range and oven, institutional refrigerator, freezer, triple sink with hot and cold water.  A fire bowl is located outside each wing of the building.  Sanitary facility in each wing is a washroom with shower and modern toilet.  

Math and Science Center

During the school year the Math & Science Center has programs for all age levels. Some programs may even provide your troop with the opportunity to earn a recognition or patch while having fun and learning. Troops may be combined to make the minimum girl requirement, so be prepared to meet new people and make new friends!! 

Platform Tent Units

These tent units available April 1 through November 1.  Each unit has 9 raised wooden platforms with canvas tents, each tent contains 4 cots and mattresses.  (Rotherwood has only 6 platform tents).  Each unit has a fire bowl and large grate.  Each unit has a shelter house completely screened and equipped with a fireplace, tables, benches and a patrol box.  Washing facilities are cold running water and basin.  Sanitary facility is an enclosed partitioned pit latrine.   

Swimming

The pool is available weather permitting mid-May to June 1 and last week of August through mid-September.  A troop may request pool during their camp stay.  The Council will make arrangements for lifeguards on Saturday's 10:00a.m.-4:00p.m.  Nature Center

This self interpretive nature center was developed to enrich the girls' awareness of nature while they are camping at Camp Dellwood.    

Lodge

Large barn-like building containing an institutional kitchen with cafeteria serving area and contains tables and benches for 200 persons.  The building is not winterized but has a large, stone fireplace. 

Amphitheater

An outdoor arena located at the camp (no electricity).  Troops and service units may use this theatre for large group productions, campfires, meetings and recognition events.
